Based on a classic childhood game, Memory is designed to encourage your child to develop their matching skills and memory! With changeable boards, your child will have different things to match up every time, helping develop their memory further. Using the mushroom shaped lids to lift and reveal, Memory is a brilliant game to help your child develop those all important skills they will need when they start school and is an ideal game for children with additional needs.

The classic Memory game which is such a staple in a child’s toy box that it’s origins go back forever. Classically born from a pack of 52 cards turned upside down on the table, this game of concentration is all about finding the hidden pairs the one who finds the most wins. The game has been adapted over time and John Crane are offering a stunning and sturdy option as it comes in it’s own wooden base with slots to keep the cards clean and tidy too.
The green wooden tops that cover the pictures are light and perfect for little hands, the four boards are laminated and numbered with child friendly pictures that are simple and easily recognisable using bright colours.
This is a perfect choice for a first game to play with your child in a competitive fashion whilst he stimulates his memory and learns how to play win/lose games. I must admit I have started the girls playing but haven’t added the win/lose element yet, you can see in the video they like playing the game but aren’t very good at waiting their turn, once one of them lifts a wooden cap the other is automatically looking for the other one!. I shall introduce the wait your turn and the win/lose element as we go along after all in my opinion it’s good for children to learn that you can’t always win and to accept losing should it happen.
Pop along to Mari's World to see the game being played by 3 year olds on video http://wp.me/p1oA7H-1ui
Will reviewed the product to see how it would help memory skills for a child with aspergers. We loved the game, me and my son, and it did help his short term memory skills. We wrote a very detailed review over on http:aspergersinfo.wordpress.com that shows all the wonderful developmental and educational benefits to the John Crane Memory game.
